Christa Adkins

Retired General Counsel, Pillar Biosciences, and Trustee Council Chair, The Nature Conservancy

Christa serves as Chair of TNC’s Trustee Council, and has served as trustee, board chair, and now life trustee of TNC’s Indiana Chapter. She is passionate about nature and conservation both in Indiana and beyond, having served as co-chair of TNC’s Global Ambassador Program and as a member of the nominating committee for the 2025 Indianapolis Prize for Animal Conservation. She is a lawyer and former general counsel who works primarily with early and growth stage medical technology companies. Prior to working with start-ups, Christa worked as director of ethics and compliance and corporate counsel at Roche Diagnostics Corporation.

Christa received her B.S. degree with distinction in economics from Purdue University. She received her J.D. summa cum laude from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.

Christa is a trustee for the Indianapolis Zoological Society and a member of its Conservation Committee and Indianapolis Prize Core Committee. She also volunteers for The Children’s TherAPlay Foundation, an equine therapy center providing children’s hippotherapy services. She enjoys hiking, camping, cycling, skiing, equestrian activities, travel, watching wildlife and documentary films, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Chris, and their son, Alex, split their time between Fishers, Indiana, and Whitefish, Montana.
