Legal Advocacy

Going to court is never our first choice, but sometimes it’s the only choice. CLC offers free legal support to conservation and environmental organizations and engages in litigation to protect our natural resources when necessary.

Nonprofit Support

Conservation Law Center fills the capacity gap of nonprofit conservation organizations by providing free legal assistance. Conservation organizations in Indiana including land trusts, cooperatives, and agencies protect more land and realize more conservation projects because of the help Conservation Law Center provides.

Policy

We educate lawmakers and state agencies about Indiana’s water quality challenges and provide policy research, analysis, and technical data in support of potential solutions. As a result, we ensure that legislators and leaders have the information they need to make well-informed decisions in developing water policy and in regulating sources of water pollution and use.

Partnerships

Conservation Law Center works as a natural connector of conservation organizations across the state and beyond. We use partnerships to magnify our collective efforts to uncover better conservation strategies and practices for the future.

Legal Educations

Conservation Law Clinic is an opportunity for second- and third-year law students to serve as interns at Conservation Law Center and work on actual matters for clients who need assistance with natural resource conservation issues.
