After 9 years with DNR, Cam retired in 2020. Prior to his public service he practiced law for 21 years, focusing primarily in the area of land use. His main interests in the area of conservation are public access and habitat protection and restoration. He is currently a Board member and Treasurer of the Indiana Natural Resources Foundation. His love for the outdoors started early in the woods around his childhood home which became a treasure chest of adventure. Later in life mentors took the time to introduce him to fishing, hunting and camping. He earned a degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and law degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis. Most of his leisure time is spent exercising his bird dog, Maddie, and getting lost in his woodshop. He lives in Hamilton County with his wife, Jill, and son, Collin.
