Gary Advocates for Responsible Development

GARD is a group of Gary residents organized in 2021 to fight two plastic garbage burning operations who are trying to construct sites in Gary. GARD has since grown into the most powerful group of environmental activists in the Region seeking to work with city government officials and other groups to promote more sustainable types of businesses.
