In 2019, the US Supreme Court preserved our unanimous victory in the Indiana case of Gunderson v. State. That case ensured the public’s right to access and enjoy the lakeshore and confirmed that the State of Indiana owns that land in trust for Indiana’s citizens. The fight didn’t end there. Out-of-state interest groups have again challenged the state’s ownership of the shore in their latest attempt to privatize this amazing public resource. We remain committed to protecting the public’s rights to use the beach.
