Earth Charter Indiana Hosts First Statewide Climate Leadership Summit

CLC staff attended Earth Charter Indiana's "Climate Leadership Summit" this week. Aside from the science, the committee of leaders discussed the climate-friendly changes in Indiana's communities and brainstormed resources and policies to help Indiana adapt to a changing climate.

Director Bill Weeks and Earth Charter's Rosemary Spalding hosted an afternoon forum called "Legal Options and Issues." Law will play an important role in the state's adaptation.

In the years to come, we will see many changes in our communities responding to climate change. The Climate Leadership Summit ignited an important conversation and is working on a Climate Action Plan for local template for Indiana's communities. Stay tuned!
